Abstract

This research deals with a specific set of dimensions related to the reciprocal relationship between the public square and public art and its reflection on urban development. The research depends on addressing public art as an important determinant of the cultural identity of society and the governing philosophy as an introduction to the research study to summarize a set of recommendations that call for the necessity of the role of public art as a basic dimension in designing specific spaces within the urban fabric formation, considering it an actual and influential element on the fabric and identity. The study specifically deals with the location of the square and its general formation and what it includes in terms of public art activities, paths, elements and services, considering visual perception as one of the most important components of design.
يتناول البحث مجموعة محددة من الأبعاد المرتبطة بالعلاقة التبادلية بين كل من الساحة العامة والفن العام وإنعكاسه على العمران .
ويعتمد البحث على تناول الفن العام كمحدد هام للهوية الثقافية للمجتمع والفلسفة الحاكمة كمدخل فى تناول الدراسة البحثية لتلخص بمجموعة من التوصيات التى تنادى بضرورة دور الفن العام كبعد أساسى فى تصميم ساحات محددة المكان داخل تكوين النسيج العمرانى بإعتبارها عنص ر ا فعلا ومؤث را على النسيج والهوية . وتتناول الدراسة بالتحديد موقع الساحة وتشكيلها العام وما يشمله من أنشطة فن عام ومسارات وعناصر وخدمات مع إعتبار الإدراك البصرى كأحد أهم مقومات التصميم.
